The Healthiest Travel Snacks

With heading out of town this week, that means we will be out of our element for a few days, but that doesn't mean that we can't have some healthy food while away to make sure we are still feeling good. You and I both know that when we start to eat heavier foods a few days in a row and get out of our routine we don't feel like ourselves. Maybe bloated, maybe slow and tired, too.

So, I am packing some goodies with me to make sure I can still feel great while away! While I am still anticipating us to go out to dinner every night, I will be packing some breakfast and snack items to have in our villa.

What's going into be in my bag?

I've been LOVING the High Key Mini Cookies, especially the Snickerdoodle cookies! They are delicious, 140 calories per serving AND they have 4g of protein per serving. Have you ever had a cookie with protein? Well, you should try this!! Here's the link to check them out! https://highkey.com/products/mini-cookies-snickerdoodle-5

Oatmeal will be a perfect addition to our mornings and even on the plane snacks. All planes will have hot water, ask for a cup and mix it in with the mix and enjoy!

100 Calorie Emerald Nut Packs are PERFECT portioned controlled snacks on the go, even while not on vacation!

Beef jerky is one of the best proteins to take on the go! Its a shelf stable protein that you can eat anywhere.

Granola Bars are easy things to take with you! I love Luna bars or Kodiak Cake Bars because they have about 7g of protein in them per each bar and taste good too! We want at least 5-7g of protein in each bar!

These are all things that can easily be stuffed into your carryon or checked luggage to have healthy and nutritious snacks while away. They combinate good protein as well as complex carbohydrates to give you sustained energy and fullness to prevent overeating.

What are your go to travel snacks?
